The extinction of the Javan rhino (Rhinoceros sondaicus annamiticus) in Vietnam is now confirmed,
according to WWF and the International Rhino Foundation (IRF). A new report released by WWF concludes that Vietnam’s last rhino
was a victim of the illegal rhino horn trade.
Poaching was identified as the cause of the extinction of the subspecies; the last individual was shot in the leg, which probably caused its death, and the horn had been removed.

          White Lion Protection Trust

We cannot help but notice the synchronistic manifestation of White Lions in the Southern Hemisphere at the time when the South Pole begins to point toward the constellation of Leo.
African elders see the White Lions’ arrival in the wilderness as the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy identifying these majestic creatures as angelic messengers from God. In spiritual terms their white coloring represents purity and enlightenment, beyond all racial connotations.
The area of Timbavati, northeast of South Africa, happens to be exactly aligned with the Nile meridian where the iconic Sphinx of ancient Egypt is erected. The Sphinx represents the fusion of humans with lions, and both are creatures who preside over the food chain and consequently are responsible for regulating the natural order of the living.

Our partners in Chyulu Hills, the Maasailand Preservation Trust, have a dedicated team of rangers who protect the rhinos (and other wildlife), from the threat of poachers. They also closely monitor Chyulu Hills' rhinos to better understand their behaviour and to look out for changes in the population - such as new births.

Protecting rhinos (including the baby) from poachers is the difference that your donation could be making right now.
